Welcome to my Italian kitchen!

Buongiorno a tutti!   My name is Melissa and I just love to cook.
When I was young I spent a lot of time in the hot Sardinian countryside where my nonna lived and enjoyed all her wonderful cooking. When I grew up I said, “Nonna, insegnami cucinare come te”, teach me how to cook like you do. She told me the most important thing when you are cooking is, “la mano” which means – the touch. Some people are born with this special touch, others are not. The other important thing when cooking is your passione! You have to put in lots of hard work and enthusiasm if you want your dish to turn out its best.

I learned a lot from my nonna and each time I visit her I still ask for new recipes. I think her cooking is so fantastic that I would like to share it with you, so the whole world can learn to cook as wonderfully as she does!
